Growing your own food can be surprisingly complex. Gardeners need to consider plants, seasons, weather, soil, space, and timing while constantly adapting to changing conditions. Existing gardening tools often provide isolated information without considering the context of an individual garden. This can leave especially less experienced gardeners overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next.
Thryve rethinks the gardening app around the idea of a personal digital garden. Instead of presenting generic gardening knowledge, the product builds an evolving digital representation of the user's garden and uses it as the foundation for personalized guidance. An embedded AI garden coach translates complex information into relevant, actionable recommendations — creating an experience that feels less like a database and more like an ongoing relationship with the garden.
The application follows a Today-first approach, surfacing relevant actions at the right moment while keeping the garden and seasonal plan accessible. Users can manage plants, receive personalized care guidance, plan seasons, and track outcomes such as harvests, biodiversity, and self-sufficiency. The result is a calm, garden-centered experience that builds knowledge, confidence, and independence.
