Changing Energy
Info
Our aim is to present and explain energy and its transition in a way that the average consumer can understand. It is important that everyone is aware of their energy consumption and what they can do to combat climate change. To make this happen, acquiring this knowledge should be easy and fun.

A style guide establishes the colorful and playful visual foundation, while the content is translated into two complementary formats: an analogue atlas and an interactive digital atlas. The analogue version combines conventional visualisations such as column and pie charts with more unconventional formats, including bubble charts, to make static information engaging and accessible.

The interactive atlas is structured around seven topics, each combining information with interactive elements, illustrations and animated GIFs. Rather than simply presenting data, the digital format encourages users to explore. Interactions are designed to make complex topics easier to understand while creating a more memorable experience through games.

The project explores how information design, data visualisation and playful interaction can make complex topics more accessible and intuitive.
